Ah.. so you're done with us are ya? Traitor! Nah, we're just kiddin. We know you're comin out to see us play this weekend, we just get a kick out of things like that.... What do you mean you're still upset? Alright, alright. We'll make it up to you. We'll give you a list of other places on the ol' World Wide Web that you can go that rock. And we'll even tell you why you oughta check em out.. seem fair?
If you're into the Hampton Roads music scene, you owe it to yourself to check out both M.E.O.N.A. and Hunter Hughe's Sunrise on Sunday program on local radio station 93.7 BOB FM. Both of them do wonders for the local music scene.
The Ben Phelps Project is a group of folks headed by a guy named Ben Phelps (yeah, duh, I know..), and if you're into that acoustirock type of vibe (think Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson), this guy is going to be one of your new favorite musicians.
If you want to have a good time, and we happen to not be in your area that weekend.. the Truck Stop Pimps are a band that's sure to put a smile on your face and make you bob your head. With punk rock covers of Britney Spears and Dixie Chicks songs, how can you go wrong?
Mike Creech, formerly the lead guitarist for JS&AC, now has his own stuff going. Awesome original music, very good vibe.. his project, Tragic Hero is well worth your listening time and money! Be sure to get a CD while you're there!
For you country fans.. another band pushing the boundaries of new country is the Heather Edwards Band. Heather and her group put on an amazing show, and always leave the crowd happy, so go see what all the fuss is about!
Another excellent country band to keep a watch out for is Wilderness Road A group of folks that's great at what they do, and truly spans the spectrum of what country music is. We played with these guys at a show opening for Chris Young, they're good stuff, check em out.
If you're looking for a good cause to throw some money towards, look no further than the annual Country for Kids charity concert. The money goes to Hampton's Center for Child and Family Services, and the event is a big thing for them. Besides, you always get to see some awesome performances.. they've had artists such as Chris Cagle, Phil Vassar, Aaron Lines, the Heather Edwards Band, and yours truly, Jason Swain and Atlantic Crossing!!
And a few of our favorite musicians that many of you already know... Big & Rich, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, John Mayer, Keith Urban, , Bowling for Soup, Ludacris, Tommy James and the Shondells, Phil Vassar, Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, and Chris Cagle
This gives you some good stuff to check out for now.. don't be so impatient, we'll get to some more stuff sooner or later!
